Legacy

As i layed in bed this morning, I woundered how my life would be when i got married and had kids. How would my kids remeber me? How would they tell storys to there kids and there grandkids?

It brought me back to a few years ago grandma nancy, my dads mom, always had storys about her parents and aunt and uncles and had pictures in boxs in the 2nd floor gustroom desk, and sometimes when I stayed the night I would look at the old pictures, there where always names and dates on the back of them, and sometimes i would ask grandma the story of them. Behind grandpas lazyboy is a big cano shelf and at the bottom layed books of pictures from his parents side of the family. I remember him telling me funny storys of him growing up in the house i live now.

My house is a old farm house. Has been in the Family i say from the 30's ( gussing here) even though it dosent have no records that we know of, we know its over 100 years old bc we looked at the foundation and how it was built.

Last night as I was doing my family tree I was looking for more information on Genealogy and becoming a Archivists. I ask Ken a few days ago what he thought of it and he liked it and when I told my mom.... she had the big speach ready about life. Like I have said, I always loved history, even american history. Its rich, bold, and the documents smell good. Thinking this a career has been makeing old memorys pop up from school as a teen, I never really thought of it as a career because I was into Ballet and singing back then.

History has always been a big part in the Brown family, there isent a place in Michigan where I wont end up seeing a family member who im related to.
